Forssa, Humppila, Jokioinen, Tammela and Ypäjä, the five municipalities of the Forssa region, are located in the heart of beautiful county of Häme and only an hour's drive from Finland's most major cities, Helsinki, Turku and Tampere.
There are plenty of interesting destinations in the area, where visitors can get to know Finland´s nature and unique history, culture and events, as well as Finnish hospitality at its best.
Forssa is a beautiful and idyllic town in the middle of everything. A wide range of services, cheerful events and a bustling market place bring life and energy to the town. The red-brick areas of Spinning Mill and Weavery, with their attractions, are landmarks of the town. Nature is is also nearby, with over 100 parks and a status of National Urban Park.
There is a lot to see and explore in Humppila. The shopping centre with restaurants located at the intersection of highways, serves tourists all year round. At the municipal centre You can visit museal sites or take a ride on the museum train. The only rail link in the region is in Humppila.
The Jokioinen story starts with land and agriculture. The stately manor estate setting and its gardens emanate the atmosphere of bygone times. The exhibition park Elonkierto is an ideal destination for the whole family. In the summer travel on a museum train or travel your own pace with a hand-lever handcar.
Tammela is one of the gems of nature tourism in Southern Finland. It is known for its national parks, the Saari Folk Park and more than 200 lakes. Many significant events are organized and the municipality has attractions dating back to the time of the Hakkapeliitta cavalry men.
Ypäjä hosts annually tens of thousands of guests in various equestrian events and competitions. Idyllic Ypäjä attracts tourists and small and atmospheric farm accommodations and restaurants take care of serving the guests.
